Plus you’ll meet others also preparing to have a baby.
Variety
Saint Elizabeth offers VARIETY! To fit into your lifestyle, we offer regular and shorter length sessions, weekend and weekday classes, even Christian-focused childbirth classes for those who prefer including the bible and spirituality into their birthing experience.
Which length sessions to take?
6-week classes: these sessions are for:
-Those who prefer training and a series of hands-on practice sessions with an instructor for breathing, relaxation, or coping techniques and conditioning skills; or
-Those who are planning a “natural” birth or prefer few medical interventions and will therefore depend more on developing coping skills;
-Anyone who prefers more discussions with the instructor and other participants---then this class is for you.
2-Saturday sessions: these condensed sessions are for busy couples. They cover the same information but with limited discussion and practice time. We also offer refresher courses for second and other pregnancies.
BREASTFEEDING Classes
Before you deliver your baby you’ll learn from certified lactation specialists about basic breastfeeding techniques, building your milk supply, dad’s role in these feedings, milk pumping techniques for anyone who will return to work or in other situations, as well as prevention and management of problems should they arise.
